OHANA PHYSICAL THERAPY

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted my career to focus on helping others and giving back to my community. I believe a large part of that stems from having had the opportunity  when growing up to be a part of fundraisers at Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego, being a second generation native to North County, San Diego, and playing competitive sports.   
Through my undergraduate career at Sonoma State University, majoring in Kinesiology afforded me the first opportunity to truly appreciate the human body and how we grow and develop through anatomy, physiology, child development and education courses. I was able to use this foundational platform, to then pursue my graduate degree, receiving a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine. Here, I was able to learn more in depth how the body works and heals itself, as well as how to habilitate new skills and milestones when working in pediatrics, and rehabilitate adults to maximize function in every day life.
As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, I have had opportunities to treat a range of individuals from new born to adults. My main passion is helping the pediatric population, new mothers and their families thrive and grow. I have been able to work with children and their families with needs ranging from pediatric wellness, tummy time education, developmental delay as well as chronic and progressive conditions. Each family has their own unique journey starting from the moment they discover they are expecting a new baby into the world, to wanting a safe and healthy pregnancy, learning how care for Mom and after coming home from the hospital, to achieving important developmental milestones. I am constantly honored and humbled to have the privilege to be a part of each family's unique journey.
